BEDROOM BLUES: Three fifths of British women want sex more often

Men often have a reputation for wanting sex all the time, but according to new research it’s the ladies who wish they were getting more action in the bedroom.

The survey by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk quizzed 2,383 Brits, all of which had a long-term partner, about their romps and relationship.

Once the honeymoon phase is well and truly over, 21% of couples admitted to arguing about their sex lives.

When asked who wanted sex more often within the relationship, the results revealed that 59% of women were eager to get down and dirty more often, compared to 41% of men.

Similarly not getting enough nookie came out as ladies’ top bedroom complaint, with 37% confessing that sex isn’t on the agenda frequently enough.

“Sex isn’t the be all and end all ”

This lack of loving has spurred 7% of Brits to cheat, the poll revealed.

But the majority turned to watching porn or adult content online (40%) and pleasuring themselves with sex toys (28%).

George Charles, spokesperson for VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, said: “Whilst it’s important to find someone sexually attractive, sex isn’t the be all and end all and the further you get into a relationship the more likely you are to have a little less sex as life gets in the way.

“It’s not something to argue about though, and definitely not an excuse to cheat on someone.”

Previous research by Lovehoney found that sexual compatibility is more important to women than it is to men in a relationship.

A mismatched libido has caused problems for 48% of ladies, who have experienced a higher desire for romps than their partner.

Nearly half (48%) of ladies revealed that their libido was highest between the ages of 18 and 24, compared to just 25% of men.

Lads are more likely to have the highest libido during their 20s and 30s.
