PrettyLittleThing’s ‘glitzy’ see-through dress sparks major uproar on Twitter

Online retailer PrettyLittleThing has once again baffled shoppers with its risqué fashion.

The brand made its New York Fashion Week debut last week, but the racy dress hasn’t gone down well among shoppers.

Rapper Saweetie flaunted her jaw-dropping figure in the Silver Diamente Chain Halterneck Detail Bodycon Dress on the runway last week.

PLT described the £100 garment as a “glitzy dress” which comes with a matching bandana.

It is unclear how the dress is supposed to be worn but the model wore it as a poolside cover-up.

But people on Twitter are baffled by the price, with DJ Korrinne Sky writing: “I need to understand why this dress is £100?”

Another moaned: “Has to be a typo, they meant [to write] £10.”

A third said: “I need to understand why it’s selling out.”

Some even pointed out the dress is made from 100% polyester – which isn’t worth its hefty price tag.

But it doesn’t seem like everyone’s fussed about the price as the dress is currently sold out in sizes S-L.

PrettyLittleThing wrote on its description: “Get ready to wow in this glitzy dress.

PLT customers were more concerned about the price

“Featuring a diamante chain detail and with a cowl neckline and halter neck fastening, team with the matching matching diamante bandana and clear heels for a look we’re crushing on.”

This isn’t the first time PrettyLittleThing has sparked outrage online.

Previously, a customer found a “vile” pubic hair and skid marks on a bodysuit she purchased from the retailer.

Olivia Freeman, 22, was mortified to find the suspicious marks on her new garment.

She wrote on Twitter: “Ordered a bodysuit from @OfficialPLT the hygiene label is hardly stuck on.

“Lovely added extra, pubes and skid marks.” After reaching out to PLT, Olivia received an apology from the brand.
