Skinny Dipping bikini trend makes a splash on Instagram

This affordable bikini has been making waves online.

Oh Polly’s “Skinny Dipping” swimwear creates the illusion you are swimming in the buff.

Influencers have been loving the racy two-pieces, with many showing off the items on Instagram.

So would you be brave enough to try this saucy trend?

Oh Polly is selling its Skinny Dipping micro bikini in beige and burnt orange shades.

The skimpy triangle top and thongs bottoms retail at £20 each.

On the website, the retailer warns that the cossies may be too sexy for some.

The product description reads: “Caution, this bikini ain’t for the faint-hearted.

“Make tan lines a thing of the past in our clear strap micro bikini top, it covers the essentials.”

Thankfully, the risqué nature of the garment doesn’t seem to have put shoppers off.

Many Instagram stars have rocked the clothing item on holiday.

Model Sofia Jamora is one of the ladies to go wild for the cheeky bikini.

In a video that’s been viewed 205,000 times, the buxom babe did a twirl in the minimalist two-piece.

As she shimmied, the see-through straps of her swimwear were almost impossible to spot.

A similar clip was posted by YouTuber Nicki Andrea.

The brunette bombshell teasingly flipped her hair as she modelled the Skinny Dipping bikini in her house.

Fans went wild for the look, with 1.1 million people watching the footage.

Oh Polly fan Samantha Rayner was another influencer to jump on the bandwagon.

As the model soaked up the sun on holiday, she risked a wardrobe malfunction in the barely-there swimwear.

While models have pulled off the sexy trend in style, some ladies think they wouldn’t get away with it.

One fashion fan asked: “Who is brave enough to wear this in public?”

Another remarked: “This reminds me of the paper pants you get given when you have a spray tan.”

A third joked: “You’d get a wedgie for days.”

This isn’t the only fashion craze to sweep Instagram in recent months.

Celebrities are loving neon bikinis at the moment.

Liquid metal cossies and sideboob swimwear are other trends to make a splash in recent months.
