Sports Illustrated has been teasing fans by releasing the names of the newest Rookies to grace the 2018 issue one by one.
But now dynamic modelling duo Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasley will appear together in a sizzling shoot for Sports Illustrated.
SI Swimsuit made the announcement in a Facebook Live stream, as Editor MJ Day and senior editor Darcie Baum unveiled the two new models on set in Aruba.
On joining the SI Swimsuit family, Kate said: “We are beyond excited to be apart of the SI family.
“To be a part of something so iconic that is so inclusive of race, size and shape is truly a dream come true.”
Georgia and Kate join the 2018 class of Rookies, which includes Raven Lyn, Alexis Ren, Sailor Brinkley Cook, Robin Holzken, Chase Carter and Anne de Paula.
The Aussie babes rose to fame after launching their Any BODY initiative to take a stand against body shaming.
The pair are promoting body confidence by sharing pictures of themselves side-by-side, proving that “there’s no size standard for the modern woman”.
The pals previously made headlines after Georgia was accused of Photoshopping Kate to make her look “bigger”.
Georgia explained: “We posted this picture, just as best friends going out on the weekend, it got reposted a lot and the controversy started.
“‘You have Photoshopped yourself thinner or your friend bigger, what kind of friend are you?’ was one of the comments.
“It broke my heart because Kate and I are best friends why would I do that?”
But the controversy just fuelled the models’ desire to promote body positivity.
Kate told the Daily Mail: “People aren’t used to seeing girls of different sizes photographed together and being okay with it.
“It’s not often that a healthy body is marketed to us in all different shapes and sizes.
“We want girls and women to stop comparing themselves to others because we are all so uniquely beautiful in our own way.”
